Leasehold improvements are
often considered a necessary component for an efficient business
operation. Perhaps the interior and/or exterior of the building
must be renovated to accommodate the business moving in. There
are a wide variety of leasehold improvements that can be
performed and USAFG has the loan program to assist borrowers to
accomplish these improvements.
Loan amounts range from $500.00 to $250,000.00.
The term for a leasehold improvement loan is 5 to 7 years,
depending on the improvements.
Interest
rates are fixed and depend entirely on current market factors
and the overall risk of the business and/or project.
USAFG
can finance up to 75% of the overall project cost on leasehold
improvement loans. Therefore, the remaining 25% of the project
cost must be in the form of an equity contribution by the
borrower. This contribution can be in the form of cash,
investment or financing by an independent third party (lender,
friend, or family member).
